How Verdant works

  • 2.5% of every launch trade goes to the treasury.
  • The rate and the wallet are constants in the factory.
  • Every launch is quoted in one coin, wNEAR.

Contracts are not deployed on this network yet. Everything below describes the code as tested; it is not audited.

How a launch works

One transaction. The token trades against wNEAR in its own plain Uniswap v4 pool (no hook) from its first block, so any v4 router or aggregator can trade it. Supply is 1,000,000,000: 800M sit on the curve, 200M are reserved for the pool after migration. Nothing is pre-minted to the team or the creator.

The curve runs from a market cap of about $5,000 at open to $35,000 at the end, placed in wNEAR from its ask price at the moment of the launch; after that the curve moves with wNEAR. Every buy moves the price up the curve, every sell moves it down. You can pay in ETH, USDG or wNEAR: the Router converts ETH to USDG on Uniswap v3, buys wNEAR from its pool, then buys the token.

Migration happens in the same pool when the curve is full: the curve's coins become full-range liquidity plus a support position below the migration price. The Router migrates a sold-out curve right after the trade that fills it; if that did not happen (a migration never fails a trade), anyone can call Migrate.

An optional dev buy in the launch transaction is capped by the factory at what the curve can take (the rest comes back as wNEAR) and protected by a minimum-out, like any trade.

The Board ranks launches by unique traders over the last 24 hours. A wallet counts as a trader of a token once it has traded at least 5 wNEAR of it in that window (buys and sells added up), so a swarm of dust trades from throwaway wallets cannot buy the top spot. Holders are counted from 1 token up.

Fees

WhatRateWhere it goes
Launch trade (buy and sell)2.5% LP fee, taken from what you pay inTreasury wallet: collectFees (anyone can call it) sends all of it there. The rate and the wallet are constants in LaunchFactory. 0% to the creator.
Launch0.0005 ETHTreasury wallet. Hard ceiling 0.01 ETH; changes only through the 48-hour timelock.
wNEAR poolhalf-spread ≥ 15 ticks + 0.05%Stays in the pool's USDG.
ETH to USDG leg0.01%Uniswap v3 WETH/USDG liquidity providers.

Every quote shows the split before you sign: the Uniswap leg, the wNEAR pool's cost, the 2.5% fee and the gap between the wNEAR ask and bid. The site warns above a 1% gap and blocks trades above 5% unless you confirm.

What wNEAR is

wNEAR is a synthetic coin tracking NEAR/USD, backed by USDG in its pool. It is not redeemable for NEAR.

Price. A keeper pushes NEAR/USD on-chain once a day, inside a fixed two-hour window: the median spot price of five exchanges. Fewer than three answers and nothing moves that day. One push can move the price at most ±20%.

Levels. R is the pushed price. L, the level, follows R but moves at most +0.3% or −5% per update. K is the pool's USDG divided by the wNEAR in circulation.

Bid and ask. The bid is min(L, R, K): a seller never gets more than K, so selling every coin can never take more than the pool holds. The ask is max(L, R, previous L), and never more than 0.5% above K; on top of it a buyer pays the pool's spread and its 0.05% fee. When NEAR rises fast the level follows at most 0.3% a day, so wNEAR can lag NEAR on the way up; on the way down the bid follows at the next update.

One way in. Only the pool mints wNEAR. The USDG you pay stays in the pool; the contracts have no function that withdraws it. It leaves only to sellers.

Cap. The pool is capped in USDG obligations. When full, buys of wNEAR and of launch tokens paid in ETH or USDG revert with CapReached; paying with wNEAR and every sell keep working. The cap can only go up, after a public 48-hour delay. See the pool.

What you can check

  • The 2.5% rate (FEE_PPM) and the treasury address are constants in the factory; every launch pool's key shows fee 25000, no hook, and wNEAR.
  • The USDG in the pool, the wNEAR in circulation and the cap are on-chain.
  • Every daily price update, and every missed one, is on-chain.
  • Every fee sale by the treasury is a Robinhood Chain transaction.

Limits, plainly

  • wNEAR is not NEAR and cannot be exchanged for NEAR. The name follows the price it tracks; other tokens called wNEAR elsewhere are unrelated.
  • The price is updated once a day. Between updates the pool trades at the last pushed price; a move over 20% takes several days to catch up.
  • The code is tested, not audited. That is why the pool is capped.
  • One team wallet holds three roles: it receives the fees, it is the only wallet that can queue admin changes in the timelock, and it is the Guardian that can pause new launches, freeze price updates (at most 7 days each) and cancel queued changes. No second key can veto it: the public 48-hour delay on every admin change is what protects you, and your time to exit.
  • The NEAR price is pushed by a keeper that runs on the team's own computer, once a day in a two-hour window. If it is offline for the whole window, that day's update is missed (the miss is on-chain) and the price stays where it was.
  • The team decides when to sell the treasury's wNEAR fees into the pool bid, within its policy: once a day, in the hour after the price update, never during a freeze.
  • Tokens launched here are memecoins. The pool stands behind wNEAR, not behind them.
  • USDG is issued by Paxos; a freeze of USDG on the pool or the PoolManager would stop trading and price updates.

Glossary

wNEAR
An ERC-20 on Robinhood Chain, minted only by its pool, priced from NEAR/USD; the pair of every token launched here.
L, R, K
The level, the pushed NEAR price, and the pool's USDG per wNEAR in circulation.
Bid, ask, gap
What a seller gets, what a buyer pays, and how far apart they are (ask / bid − 1).
Curve, migration
The launch price range of a token, and the switch to full-range liquidity when it is filled.
CapReached
The error buys get when the pool's cap is full. Sells are never blocked by it.
Timelock
A 48-hour public delay on every admin change: cap raises, keeper and methodology changes, the launch fee.
